I'm currently working on collecting as much info/research as I possibly can about a lesser known piece of media that has kind of been lost to time, and I've stumbled across a comprehensive fansite that was set up over 20 years ago to campaign to save the show in question (it sadly didn't work).
Behind the scenes info and pictures, promotional content from the time, episode scripts, quizzes, fun facts... It's a gold mine of information, and all wrapped in an ancient angelfire website.
Sadly the email address mentioned in the 'Contact Us' section has long since become defunct (I tried~), but part of me loves the idea that over 20 years ago, in the primitive days of the internet, there were people so intent on sharing so much info/media relating to their favourite shows - not knowing that after all these years, these old sites would become so vital for media preservation~
The old internet was so much better, likely because everybody and their dog didn't use it constantly. It was a lot more fun, people were more optimistic and laid back, and websites were more unique. How I miss it!
He cut his trail of tears across the countryside And where he went, women wept and men died One night he woke from a vision of his own death Saddled his pony and rode her deep into the West
I do fondly remember some of the old Spongebob fansites I visited like Spongebobarea.com, that was how I learned about the short-lived Spongebob TCG Deep Sea Duel. I also remember those old "uncensored" anime sites that did comparisons between original animes and their English dubs, while i've been able to access some of those via the Wayback Machine some have been lost to time.
