To summarize: On WatZatSong, a user, Carl92, found a bunch of very old files in a DVD backup when he was learning to capture audio in 1999. One he found was a short clip of a song that he couldn’t find anywhere. Another user pointed out it contains a 15.734 kHz pilot tone only present in MTS broadcasts exclusive to a select few countries, so it had to be a recording off TV, likely MTV or just a commercial. Using a video which contained just the audio, I made the possible lyrics: You carry on this shame in disguise Caught up in the world of lies Everyone knows that shame you got Ulterior motives Tell me the truth Every move shows that shame you got Ulterior motives Tell me the truth How’d I get extra lyrics? Another channel fixed the speed and enhanced the bass, while also extending the song to finish the part. Something else is a Portuguese commenter on that video mentioned hearing the song once and that around the 1:04 mark the lyric is something like, “you are the forever”. Whether they’re true or not is up for debate, but just giving it in case it was part of the song. Sources to help get other possible, better lyrics to help find it: Just audio: m.youtube.com/watch?v=M8eZ3Ujy26Q Enhanced bass: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ChduDJSeFHo Original video: m.youtube.com/watch?v=izZyHzSmdhw&pp=ygUgZXZlcnlvbmUga25vd3MgdGhhdCB1bmtub3duIHNvbmc%3D Post: www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/719553.html
Oh, the shitty humanity! Are you stalking my profile without following me AGAIN?!
This is another one of those songs where the singer sounds familiar but can’t be identified. Hopefully the full song gets found eventually. Was the origin of the recording ever stated by the OP?

No, he just mentioned that he recorded a bunch of audio back then and turned them to DVDs.

The Dee Dee Kenniebrew "The Crystals" ended because of issues of the band, and there is a big theory saying that the song is in one of there albums that are lost
I've done lots of research through releases on Discogs for this song and "CIA" both are unknown songs. (I made a thread for the other song) sadly nothing has come up yet:(
The song sounds like it is foreign. like if a person who is not fluent in English was speaking English. Some foreign songs sometimes will have bits that are english.

I really want to know the origins of this song, and if there is even a full version. I agree that it sounds like it was recorded off of a tv. If that’s the case I think it probably something from a commercial or movie (not like it was a song that the characters sang but something they heard on the radio or saw in concert).

The length definitely gives me commercial vibes but the fact it cuts off when there’s clearly more to the song suggests it probably originated from somewhere else.
I got it wrong (sorry) The sample is possible in a defunct album "A shining crystal" sadly, it failed to release, lawsuits are filed, and never released. It was created by "The Crystals" by Dee Dee Kenniebrew, they were very popular in the 60's
i looked everywhere and did research on the band and see if we can get more info, but It looks like they fell into obscurity All of this info i saw fro some investigators in a comment section to a remaster of the song. Credit to them
Take this as a grain of salt, i might be going the wrong path
everyone knows that is probably from an ad but, if it was a full song I wonder if it was disowned by the singer/band like La Cancion de Alica song was. La Cancion de Alica was disowned because the band members had a horrible time working together. So they did not want to release the song because it would have brought back too many bad memories. I wonder if everyone knows that had a similar story. The singer or band went through a tough time and did not want to fully release it.
Edit: I also wonder if someone personally knew the singer and got early access to the song and used it for an ad. But then the full song never got released.

this song is ATLEAST 1985 because of the clap sound being from a machine of that year. no way its someone from the 60's sorry.

im asuming that the album was made around where tv's were becoming more popular, and i think the band went downhill after trying to release the defunct album
absolutely enamored with this song rn. my two guesses are MAYBE it's from a production music catalog which could be true considering it might have been recorded off a tv, or it's a lost song from an indie synthpop band from that era. those two are sticking out to me a whole lot
