When I was younger, my mom owned a NookColor tablet which had some seemingly Nook-exclusive games on it. It mostly had Android Play Store games but had a few exclusives too. In 2023 the exclusive contents of the NookColor App Store and most traces of it are completely lost. However I do remember a few games from it, so let me know if you know anything about them or the old NookColor games/apps in general.
First of all, the most memorable one for me (and my favorite) was called Hippo Adventure. It consisted of a round “hippo” which had to roll along different apparatuses such as seesaws to get home (I think each level ended with the hippo’s “house”). I can’t remember if the premise of the game was controlling the hippos or placing those apparatuses. The app icon consisted of the hippo on a green/grass surface with a blue background I believe. It wasn’t a high quality game by any means but it has stuck in my mind for all these years.
I also remember one called Frog Pop’n Fun. I may remember this one a bit better than the previous one, simply because it somehow stayed installed on the Nook for years even after factory resetting so I was able to play it for longer. I think it consisted of these bloaty frogs which you had to “pop” before they got to the center of the screen, they may have also bloated up over time if you didn’t pop them.
There was also a “Subway Surf” game which I found searching for Subway Surfers on the Nook (which it didn’t have). It was just a 2D very rudimentary game that loosely followed the concept of Subway Surfers. There were 3 tracks with a player and trains which you swiped between, but it was extremely basic and rudimentary.
Thank you!
