Major Lingo was an alternative/ska band formed in the 1980s. The band is most notable for featuring drummer Tim Alexander, later of Primus fame, on its first 3 albums (1985-1987).
When looking for their albums online, Discogs only has a listing for 3 of their 8 albums. There is only one album for sale, however. I've tried to search for more albums for sale from numerous sources and music websites, but still no luck.
I haven't seen many people discussing this, despite Alexander being a member of Primus, one of the most definitive bands of their era. Wikipedia and other sources list the titles of all 8 albums.
This is all the info I could find so far:
All 8 albums are listed on ziarecords.com, but unfortunately none are available for purchase; additionally, the albums with Alexander are cassette-only
I found a fan page on Facebook for the band and discovered some people asking where to buy the albums. It revealed that band member John Ziegler was selling CDs at his solo shows. However this was in 2019 so Idk if this info is still relevant
Also on that Facebook page was a link to their official band website. Upon clicking the link, the site only consists of porn. According to a message on FB this is because the band has yet to repurchase the domain. I will try to find a website belonging to Ziegler
Archive.org has saved some of their website but does not have contact info and even if it did, most likely it would be outdated since the saved website is from many years ago
There is also a nearly empty myspace page with only 4 songs
Apparently Major Lingo had a cult following in Arizona in the live show circuit (the band split in 2012) so it's strange to me why their albums are so elusive to find
I found their "All Through My Body" album (1993) in full on a YT playlist but nothing of their other albums.
