Does anyone know anything about “wawataytv broadcasting” ? specifically “wawataytv kids” ?
I discovered it in early 2020 on youtube, there's 3 episodes reuploaded, season 2 episodes 1-3
It was a Canadian Indigenous educational puppet show.
I've been searching for more episodes of wawataykids tv as I believe the rest of its non-reuploaded episodes to be lost, I've emailed many but as of 4/6/2023 I've yet to get any replies. I'm currently making a video and writing an essay about this search. I've asked around on different forums, but I've been at a dead end for so long I thought I'd try to post about it here since no one else anywhere has any info on it. Fingers crossed :3
Essentially it was an educational show from the early 2000s, around 2002-2006, that aired in Canada for the Oji-Cree communities, targeted at 4-10 year olds. It had both live segments and puppets, teaching normal life lessons you'd see in a kids show as well as cultural, indigenous storytelling, and ojibwe language learning segments. wawataytv kids youtube channel There's a wiki and imdb page that mention it but not much info of how many episodes there are. There is a list of actors names along with the writers and the director’s name etc. I've made an article about it on the lost media wiki to document all info I have about it as of today.
