Hi! I've wanted to find a game I used to play a lot as a child for a while but I can't seem to find anything about it from the lack of information I have.
This is a game I played around 2012, maybe a few years earlier or later, on an iPad I had. I'm not sure if the game was available on iPhone or any other digital store i.e. Google Play. I believe there was a small logo in the corner of the app icon, akin to the one Ubisoft uses.
The basic mechanics of the game are raising monsters akin to dragons or animals in general, buying them enclosures/places to live (corresponding to their species or abilities i.e. a dragon is a fire monster so he gets a volcano) and then taking them to battle enemies, also monsters all available in-game. It was one of those games where you do tasks and get currency and spend it on upgrading your lot, where the areas for creatures are located, or something like, battle statistics. It was a long time ago so the details get fuzzy at times.
I distinctly remember there being a "hatch an egg and raise the baby" segment. The eggs would get sent to a big red barn with limited slots (depicted as cribs), and after they hatch, you had to periodically feed the baby creatures out of a bottle to get them to grow up. After that, you send them to a lot, and you can use them to battle. Battles were in a completely different tab - it had levels, and progressively stronger enemies.
There were most likely microtransactions as some elements of the game, notably the baby barn one, had you waiting for something to happen for multiple hours or even days as you progress.
The art style made the game look like it was made out of paper or cardboard. Some of the characters had small gaps in them, like papercraft would. The backgrounds and overall visuals also looked handmade, but polished. Some of the buildings looked like they were out of paper too, like the battle arena or the barn.
Quick Overview
iPad/Apple Store game
Was playable around 2012
Small publisher icon in the corner
Origami-esque appearance
Different animal/element inspired monsters
A baby raising segment with simple mechanics
Time-based with currency to spend on upgrades
A battling/strategy minigame
My old iPad was thrown away, and that account's downloads aren't archived anywhere. I tried both checking my downloads, and my dad's downloads since at some point he shared his account with me, but nothing popped up at all. I'd be very thankful to whoever helps me with the search. Apologies if the answer's something relatively popular I've overlooked, searching up keywords, which in this case are pretty common, has proved to be inefficient so I'd love to get some guidance to what I'm thinking about. Thank you in advance!!
