Probably at least two years ago, I saw some pictures and screenshots from an anime that I half-intended to eventually watch, but I have now lost track of it. From what I can remember, it was probably a slice-of-life anime that was in a realistic setting, and it was about a group of four teenage guys. One of the guys had blonde hair, and I think was either from the United States or was half-American. The other guys in the group had other realistic hair colours; most likely black and shades of brown or grey. Of the pictures and screenshots that I saw, there is only one scene from this anime whose screenshots I can remember in detail. They were of a scene that showed the group of boys going to a religious temple to meet another guy who was of a similar age to them. In spite of his age, the guy in the temple was completely bald, which one of the boys from the main group thought was hilarious. I estimate that this anime was from the late 2010s, but it is not impossible that it came from 2020 or 2021.
It probably wasn't Tsuritama and definitely wasn't Cromartie High School.
I assume that it wasn't a particularly popular anime, but if the description that I gave here sounds familiar to anyone, then I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
if its sports then eyeshield 21 has a blonde guy and a bald guy who looks way older than highschool age but i dont remember a temple. if you remember the artstyle you might be able to brute force this by going through one of the chart sites
Okay, I've found it. The two suggestions here reminded me that I could just check the, "Recommendations", part of the page for Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou on MAL. The anime is, "Kimi to Boku.", and the specific scene that I remembered seeing screenshots of came from episode 13 of season 2.
The parts of my initial description that I got wrong were that the anime is about a group of five guys; not four, that the bald guy was actually significantly older than the main characters, and that the anime was quite a bit older than I estimated (aired from 2011 to 2012).
