Hi everyone, I am posting about an old CNET series called "The Buzz Report" from the 2000s. While almost all of the episodes are on Youtube, a few of them from 2005 are not, and are lost. I've done extensive research and on some wayback machine archives of CNET.com, you can find links to the video pages of them but they don't play. However, they are flash, and I recovered an SWF file from one of them but no flash player I can find runs it correctly. Approximately 38 episodes are lost.
I also attached an SWF file that I extracted from one of them but as said before I can't get it to work
7/20/2023 Edit: I FOUND SOME!!! CNET still has videos on their site from as early back as 2006. Sadly most of them are still missing but have found some! www.cnet.com/sitemaps/videos/
2/14/2024 Edit: I came back to the SWF file and I finally know why it doesn't work. I ran it through Adobe Flash 11 and this was a response I got was that the file was trying to interact with the website "cp24758.edgefcs.net" I have no idea what this website is. No results on google and no archives of it on the wayback machine. No domain lookup sites register it either. I'm guessing this website was what CNET was hosting the episodes on. Sadly it looks like this is lost for good since no info about this website survives.
