Couldn’t find an individual thread on this so thought I’d compile all known info here. Chip 'n Orbit was an interstitial YTV series that utilized CGI robots that played various learning games with the viewer. The show was produced and directed by Michael Decsi and aired on YTV and YTV Jr starting around 2001. I am not sure when it stopped airing but it lasted at least until 2005.

It would be nice to see this piece of Canadian nostalgia archived better. Hopefully the rest of the episodes are found someday.
Hey, OP of the original chip n orbit thread here, glad to see someone else as interested in this show as I am. I swear I remember seeing a post about how they animated the characters mouth movements that I found absolutely fascinating, but I can't for the life of me find it anywhere.

"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
Definitely sounds interesting. Btw it might be a good idea to make an article for the show on the wiki to gain more help and info on the search, as well as making more people aware and interested.
If we can find an episode guide that would be extremely helpful I’m sure. I guess the best way to find more episodes would be searching through old YTV recordings from the era.

Quite a daunting task, but it probably would get the word out properly.

Good find, but it's nothing we haven't already seen before
Youtube is surprisingly bare and I can’t seem to find much on other sites unfortunately. I guess we could try contacting people who worked on the show, they may still have tapes of it.

Prolly the next best thing to do
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
Okay, so it was confirmed to me that there’s two seasons with a total of 35 episodes each totalling 70. Unfortunately the YTV logs don’t include the episode titles.
It started airing in January 2001 and ended in August 2007, although there was an absence between September 2006 and February 2007. Thanks to canadianchildhood for this info.

That about matches the timespace I remember seeing it in

I remember Chip N Orbit quite well it used to air early on weekday mornings on Ytv. There was another short series that I always thought was pretty much the same as Chip N Orbit growing up but I can't for the life of me remember any details about it. I wonder if there was some sort of failed spin-off or something or maybe the animation was different in some later or earlier episodes. Regardless, it would be cool to see all of it again. I have that Finish The Word episode on my playlist of Canadian shows we grew up with on YouTube.

Hmm, I know there were several different short shows like that on YTV back then but I don’t remember any that were somewhat the same as Chip N Orbit.
