I am looking for a movie a watched when I was a girl in the late 90s- early 00s about two pre-teen girls who become friends and spend their summer nearby the sea.
It looks like a "Now and Then" rip-off at first. One, the brunette lives with her mother (a writer) and she is new in town. The other, the blonde, spends a lot of time by herself and only relies on her older brother. She is the street-smart of the pair. They start to do all sorts of silly stuff spying on the couples making out at a drive-in cinema. At some point, they fight and the blond one goes psycho. She gets a gun somewhere and takes the brunette to a cliff where she apparently shoots her and throws her to the sea.
The blonde denies any involvement but the mother of the brunette knows she is guilty. In the end, everyone finds out what she did. In the final scene, we can see that the brunette actually survived and was found by fishermen.

I can't seem to find this movie anywhere, not even the title. And no, it is not the Good Son or Poison Ivy. It aired on public TV at midnight, it was dubbed into Latin American Spanish but it was definitely made in the US. It had vibes of a direct to tv film but I could be wrong.
If you have any idea of what's the name of the movie, please tell me. I have been trying to watch it again for years.
