I remember a long time ago this thread caught my eye and I told some viewers this was found, only for them to say it's fake and isn't real. I don't know anything about Green Day so which is it, is this really a lost recording or something fake that was made?

So the first thing to leak back in the day was the instrumental which is what naturalkatsup shared above, then the demo leaked but that was taken down for copyright infringement, I was lucky enough to save it before it got taken down. Then a cover was widely circulated that featured a clip from the original demo, Then finally I uploaded my copy of the original demo leak to the internet archive once I realized how rare it actually was. 

The reason I said that i couldn't remember how I had got in the first post on this form is because honestly it had been a long time since I had even thought about the recording or where I had gotten it. But the more I look back at it the more I seem to reflect on how I actually got the demo in the first place. After I had gotten the demo I contacted John Roecker about the album and if I could hear the recordings from the recordings of the AI B-sides he had shared in that post of twitter so I could compare them it to the demo I had. But he was unwilling to let me hear any of the recordings he had because he concerned about me potentially leaking it which would potentially get him in trouble with the band who he had a close relationship with. Which honestly I completely understand since they had given him the recordings as a personal gift. Next I spoke to Sterling sound and asked them if they had any of the recordings still in their archives but unfortunately they didn't. So my own theory is that perhaps to even call what I posted a demo is a bet of an injustice since it more sounds like Billie had recorded the vocals privately and that was mixed with an instrumental that the band had been working on. So it is more like a Prototype version of the song rather then just a full blown studio demo, but those are just my guesses. It sucks because I reached out to alot of people to try and see if I could get more info on what I had found, and most either didn't have copies or were unwilling to let me hear the copies they had in fear of leaks. So sadly I think this is the closest will get to a full fledged studio demo since the instrumentals were in fact recorded but the vocals were added later for the prototype.

Honestly I feel like this is turning into trying to find where the demo I uploaded came from. Thanks for getting the info about what was posted on the original page. That Video with the Promo demo is a fake with an actual photo of the promo CD for the live version, it just takes the audio from the live version and removes the crowd noises as well as Billie screaming "Lets get crazy" as well as his introduction with the song. Trust me i have wayyyy better things to do then spread hoaxes around on the internet. I'm just trying to help in the search for this lost album by uploading the lead I had on it which is something I got in my collection years ago. Be skeptical all you want. If I knew I was going to  be put on trial for it I would have given sharing this a second thought. But even then, This search means alot to me personally. And I could careless about popularity or getting popular on this site. All i want to do is help in the search by providing what I have. I could have just as easily kept this in my private collection and never made it public, But I actually care about finding this thing, I have gone to great lengths to try and find this album or any possible lead, contacting everyone I possibly can. But I didn't make this, it was leaked, circulated and then taken down for copyright reasons and I saved a copy before that happened back in 2016. I'm not gonna sit here and waste my breath trying to convince you its real. All I can do is tell my side of how I got it, where it came from, and why I think its legitimate. And if you don't believe me thats up to you.
