So Crow: City of Angels got a critical drubbing when it came out primarily due to many things not being explained, what happened was the film got forcibly edited by execs before release resulting in many plot-critical scenes getting removed. However the directors cut version did see release exclusively on pay-per-view after the film came out to home video and there were tape-trading circles that had this fabled directors cut, unfortunately it's not yet turned up online as far as I know. IMDB has a complete list of changes in the director's cut under the "alternate versions" section for the film if you want to look that up. I've been obsessed with seeing this uncut version since the 2000s so if anyone on here knows someone that might have a copy please do let me know. The galling part is that some VHS tapes actually claimed on the front to be the director's cut(With them even saying they had a "must-see Brandon Lee tribute")and I actually fell for that as a kid, unfortunately it was all a lie, maybe the directors cut was planned to be released to home video but Dimension got cold feet at the last minute(they would also notably decide not to release the sequel "Salvation" to theaters after claims of poor test screenings).
