I ask because I managed to snag a rare cassette i've been looking for-the original Telegraph Records release of hair metal/blues rock band Great White's second album "Shot in the Dark". The original Telegraph Records release on Vinyl and cassette is unique in that two of the tracks are different then the ones on the Capitol Records re-release that's found most everywhere else. "She Shakes Me" is instead called "Shake Me" has a completely different intro and overall has a more raw sound, that particular version of the song was uploaded on Youtube(as the Telegraph version of the album did get released on CD over in Japan in 2005, though that release has proved to be expensive and hard to find):
The other track that's different is "Run Away" which according to someone I talked to who has the original release is a totally different recording of the song, i've not been able to find it anywhere online(not even Soulseek)so i was wondering if anyone on here has the tech or knowhow to be able to rip cassette tapes? I'd sure like to be able to upload this rare version of the song.

If you have a tape player you can easily plug it into your computer and rip it using software like audacity. I'd look up a guide online, it's easier than it's ever been nowadays
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."

my mom used to have a old-school cassette player but i don't think it's around anymore. I'll see if I can find it though. I mostly play cassettes in my car(as it's an older model sedan from the late 90s back when you had to pay extra to get a CD player in your car).

That doesn't work you can always find something half decent at the thrift store

I found a guy on the cassette sub-reddit who said he has the equipment to do it.
