apologies in advance for any mistakes; i've been into lost media for years, but i've never used the forums. that aside, the other day i came across this wikisimpsons article for a short celebrating the 2012 U.S. presidential election called "a message from springfield republican party headquarters." the article has a link to the youtube upload, but it's since been set to private. upon searching through youtube, google, other video-sharing sites, and the official social media pages for the simpsons and simpsons-affiliated networks/brands, i couldn't find any uploads or even mentions of the short aside from a link to the private upload from the FOX TV twitter. all i found outside of the wikisimpsons article was 1), a daily show joke featuring mitt romney audio over footage of mr. burns (which is not from the short, but rather an older episode of the actual show), and 2), a commentless reddit thread linking to the private video from around the time it was originally uploaded. i couldn't even find any screenshots outside of the one featured on the wikisimpsons article.
the article also mentions it being used to promote the "mr. burns endorses romney" short (which is still available on youtube) on the now-defunct thesimpsons.com website, but the site doesn't load properly when i try to navigate it on wayback, so i can't really check to see if this short was on there, too (and even if it was, IIRC wayback isn't all that reliable for video archiving anyway). on the subject of wayback, the original video link was archived several times back in 2012 (+ once this year, when it was already apparently private), but all of the archives just show error messages over the video player. i've tried tricks used to get around private videos on youtube, but they don't work for me.
according to wikisimpsons, the short was 25 seconds long, released on youtube on october 22nd, 2012, and had the following plot summary:
"A make-up artist is about to pamper Mr. Burns, however he tells her to get that "fowl grease paint" away from him saying the he doesn't wear make-up. Smithers tells him that he actually does, saying that it gets slavered on every morning when he is asleep. He shows Mr. Burns that without make-up he is a skeleton and, while doing so, a snake slithers out of his eye socket and down his throat. Burns then says that he will have a little bit of make-up put on.
A news reporter then announces how he will appeal to the voters. Next Burns is live on television saying right after Halloween and that he wonders what he'll go as."

the wiki also has a page listing character appearances in the short (it's essentially just mr. burns and smithers, it seems), but that's where the information i can find ends.
does anyone have any information about this? despite its short length, i'm really interested in watching it, so it'd be nice if anybody had any more information or documentation of it.
