Update 2: So I pretty much searched all I can on MySpleen. Other than what I posted above I can't seem to find anything that resembles the OP's synopsis. Kinda bummed out, but the search goes on! Now I sleep cause I've been up all night and I'm dead tired
I'm currently looking through MySpleen for any O Canada/National Film Board of Canada material that could (hopefully) fit the description of the short OP gave. I'll report my findings once I go through everything. Fingers crossed🤞
Alrighty. Update 1: Upon searching through O Canada/NFB material on MySpleen I came across this short titled "The Persistent Peddler" While it doesn't quite fit the synopsis the OP gave it does feature a character with a plug attached to them and does die during the short.
I managed to contact the OP on the LMW Discord server and they confirmed to me that this is *not* it.
If you want to watch the short you can view it here.
I still have more stuff to sift through so I'll update everyone once I'm done looking through what I have.

I'm trying to get on the Lost Media Wiki, but always get a spinning circle whenever doing so. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thank you.
The staff is currently aware of the situation. While I can't give an approximate time when the site will be back up; all I can say is to be patient for the time being.
One positive aspect of having less traffic currently of is that articles being made are quality over quantity. A couple are still added a day but alot of the new ones are really well written and have great diversity in subjects. Three of the latest is a Estonian children's show, early Beatles recordings and a play from the 1500s. Compare this to things like Albanian Spongebob when more people are here. This is a great time to purge hopeless articles and improve others
I totally agree. One positive of this situation is that many people are taking their time to make A++ quality articles. I have noticed that and that's a really great thing. I've also noticed that even though we are experiencing less articles being added there are more people editing and improving preexisting articles to bring them up to even more acceptable levels of quality. Quality over quantity is a great thing, but it still doesn't help the fact that we're currently in a dry spell when it comes to the number of articles being published.
I feel the elephant in the room that no one wants to address is that when the site becomes popular it attracts alot of little kids,
It just surprises me that there are a lot of 13-below children would even be interested in lost media in the first place. You'd think there would be at least more 16-18+ users here as the concept of lost media hunting would be more for people who are nostalgic for something in their childhood that they can't find or looking for something their favorite artist, singer, entertainer, etc had made but seemed to have gotten lost to time.
and this leads to quality issues and lack of diversifying from topics like Spongebob or general kids media. Then they leave.
That's an issue for sure. Because we have so many young children that visit the site and make articles that relate to them more as they're still in the age range where they've only seen kids shows and nothing more. As for the quality issue these kids don't follow the rules and guidelines and published half-baked articles that most of the time ends up getting deleted. That's when they either leave or they might stick around for awhile longer then once they find out that there isn't enough things on the site that they can relate to they just dropout of the community as a whole.
Honestly, I don't think kids are that big of an issue. There is definitely a lot more people here and even though we've been having a rather slow couple of months we still have been getting more quality and diverse articles published and there are still a lot of people who are very active in this community. We should take this downtime as an opportunity to think about something fun that could unite the community and spark more Interest into LMW and the lost media community as a whole.
So, it has been coming to most the staffs attention that focus has been slightly lost and progress has been slow. I guess it's come to a point to where I feel as though I need to officially say something. This doesn't apply to many of you, especially the wiki/forum exclusive users. However, LMW - especially this discord has become less lost media related and somehow more shitposting related.
Now, I'm mostly regarding the discord in this case. Sure a couple off topic conversations in #general do not hurt one bit, that's not at all what I am addressing. The main issue is the fact that - the #lost-media channel has become slower and slower, Lost media has become 2nd to shitposting, we have users within the discord who are there just to shitpost and it's definitely driving me insane.
Sad part is most the users use the discord, and because of the distraction it has clearly been - I admit it has been for my own sake though I am attempting to put the focus back on the topic of the wiki itself - anyway, articles have slowed down, we had very little back in February and in March, and I suppose that goes hand in hand with quality over quantity, however when you have a userbase of over 400 it gets increasingly worrying that you're getting 4 articles a month and some by the same user.
I feel maybe I am not addressing everything too, and I may not be. But the reason I am bringing this up is mostly because I was alarmed at the fact that recently lost media was found and my posting of it was rather ignored for a discussion of a meme.
This is all just a suggestion, I want to pull the wiki back to where it was and bring it back out of this small slump. This is no chastisement for any users who do this, I realize exactly how easy it may be to get consumed within the discord as I am doing that myself. I suppose it's quite hypocritical but, I may as well have said something.
If any other staff or users have anything to add, please do reply.
Thanks.
Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Things have been getting a lot more shitposty as of late. I've also noticed the general slowness we've been having for awhile now. I know that I noticed everything was getting slower after the Clock Man search ended. There was still discussions in #lost-media, but not to the extent that it was back in let's say mid November/early Decemberish. I'm looking in the channel now and all that has been said today alone was just one tiny conversation. The only really big lost media talk I've seen recently was the resurgence of discussion around Sesame Street episode 847 and that has been put onto hold due to a lack of any new leads.
As for the lack of new articles, I feel really guilty about it and have been for awhile now. I've always wanted to make articles for the site and I'm slowly working myself up to do it. I feel guilty because I haven't been able to find anything I want to write about. Hopefully I'll be able to find something I want to write about that'll be worthy enough to warrant an article.
Really, I just guess that after the finding of Clock Man everyone was just burnt out and things would go back to normal. It's just taking really long for things to go back to normal.
Sorry if this felt like me rambling on. lol It's just some stuff I had on my mind.
I apologize for the text wall. TL;DL Happy Birthday LMW!!
Man I can’t believe it has been 5 years now. Back around late 2013 I heard something about a lost episode of Dexter's Laboratory I thought that it could’ve just been some creepypasta and dismissed it, though, I thought about it and started looking it up and I came across a Wikia page called “The Lost Media Wiki” and thought to myself “Wow. I didn’t know that was a website that dedicated themselves just to looking for lost content.” I read the article of the Dexter’s episode and got hooked, then I saw more and more articles on the page and made up my mind and started visiting the site daily. I remember one day in 2014 when I visited the Wikia page I saw that the admins of that page had moved to a new site. As soon as I entered the new site it was still under construction. I stayed on the wikia after that and checked back to see if the new site was open until…well when it opened. I pretty much fantasize at this point of being able to start making pages and talking to people on the website, but never worked up the courage to do so until late 2016 of all things when I said my first works on a forum post. Later in February I saw that there a new Discord server in the shoutbox and decided to work up more courage and join it. When I did I was greeted be everyone there. I felt so welcome. I remember one of the first people I spoke to was Matt (thisishowibro) and it was just some silly small talk. Matt was legitimately on of the first people I grew a friendship with and as soon as I started talking more and more I made a lot of great new friends. I even began supporting the website via their patreon (and still do). I feel that my greatest memories are of the multiple music and movie night back in the summer of ’17. I also feel like my greatest accomplishment was when I became a chat custodian. I love this place and its community and I want to see it grow more and more. For the almost 4 years of me knowing about LMW I can say it has been probably the best community I have ever been in. Thank you to all the staff, all the countless members, and to Dycaite one of my greatest friends for making a site that has surely changed my life for the better. If it wasn't for you my self-confidence and ability to speak in these types of communities would probably still be at zero.
I know, I know I already posted this over on the Dicsord server. I may as well post it here too ; )

Just incase if anyone didn't know the scripts for episodes 14, 15, and 16 are up for auction on a Japanese auction site.
The scrips are going for ¥8,000 yen a piece.
¥8,000 yen translated to US dollars ($) is around $71.20 and since all three of the scripts are 8,000 yen each they go for 24,000 yen (roughly $213) + shipping.
If anyone is interested in looking at the auctions the links can be found here.
