If you're on desktop you can use the Discord widget on the right side of the page. Just press the connect button on the bottom and it'll send you to the invite page. Also this is a pretty old thread so the invites here have been long expired.
It's all apart of a game Dycaite has been playing with members of the Discord server that's tied to a piece of found media he's going to be releasing at the end.
All I can say about this quick development is a "Wow!".
To be honest, I never thought about the short's true identity being found out so quickly unlike the case with the "Clock Man" short.
Yeah I'm pretty surprised myself. So far up to now we've been having a pretty fast and lucky search. We wouldn't have even known it was "The Wire" if Captain B. Zarre never dug up that ToonHeads promo. To think about it it's like killing two birds with one stone. ToonHeads has lost media attached to it as well so if we end up finding the ToonHeads special with The Wire intact we just found two pieces of lost media at once.
I think that all we have to do now is to find someone who has recorded the whole TV special on VHS with the cartoon in it or contact one of the people involved in the making of the special and see if they still have a copy of it.
Our fellow volunteer and friend SOOPER NINTENDO has already contacted Aaron Augenblick so all we gotta do for now is wait and hope for a response from him.
I got a response from the Film Board and they seemed to not know exactly what I was talking about, but did say they had a guy who might be able to help on Monday
Well that's good to know! For the meantime I'm still gonna look through all the animation NFB has on their website in a vain attempt to find anything.

I know, I know, 3D - but some 3D stuff is made to look 2D so it's a possibility. Not by any means saying that this is it, but I feel like it's worth looking into. To that end I have messaged Alice Kaiserian on Facebook, will report back here if/when she replies.
