Yeah, this is just one of those we have to sit on until it appears one day (if ever). I emailed Sesame Workshop about this to no response; they even responded to dycaite about Cracks, but we held our own little discussion about this on Muppet Central and found a behind-the-scenes photo on the I Am Big Bird website:
I would add this to the Wiki page because it's literally the second photographic proof that this ep. ever existed, but I don't know how.

I was listening to the recorded calls you guys made and it sounded like he was kind of lying on his feet, or lying on the spot, but this is just me thinking aloud. I've had a few students who've come up with bullshit on the spot.
Now we don't know if he's lying, but we shouldn't rule it out. He could've been just trying to cover his ass because we pushed him into a corner. And we did give him time to call back in one of the many calls to explain ADWSS to us so in that time, it's possible that he came up with bullshit.
As for the films existence, I don't think we'll ever know if the OG film ever existed or not. I hate to say this but only time will tell. How much time? Who knows. Something big could happen tomorrow for all I know. The search for this film is and always has been like a loop. Going round and round starting off where we were before hand. I think this search won't end because it's scientifically impossible for this thing to end. It's a movement that will outlast the original search party weather we stay or not. Until something solid is found, this search will not stop.
So in the end, the search goes on.
Happy hunting and let's find this piece of shit weather it takes months or years.
But he didn't even have to call back or talk about it.
If the OG film existed it should've turned up by now, but that still doesn't rule it out. Look at the Mallow plush thread; two of those have turned up in the last 15 years.
We talked to Lorenzo, but did it really solve anything? I don't think anyone's satisfied. At least he talked though, and was very cooperative considering the circumstances; suspiciously cooperative...

If you think people say "oh, I have a copy of ADWSS, I can just send it to you via email", it's likely a troll, a myth. It was planned but never released. No more.
I just think the fate of this thing is in Lorenzo's hands, and all we can do is strategically plan when to call him; I honestly think it's too soon right now. It's such a fragile thing; one false move and we could scare Lorenzo away like a wild deer.
Say the Kickstarter goes up; how would we even know about it? The total shadiness of Lorenzo/Reagal; this is just the oddest thing ever. It's just like some kids paying a convict to make a shitty bootleg movie about a copyrighted character that they know he won't even make.
There was one person who cared enough about this piece of shit to get everyone involved; who was that person? Anyone else would've looked at the Amazon listing and said "Who gives a fuck?". But it's one of those things that's intriguing upon second glance.

Two things are that he said he "believed" the Kickstarter would be released in June, so give him some leeway (sadly his life doesn't revolve around ADWS like us ), and he said the movie was out for a short period of time, fwiw.
at this point i think the search for the movie would make a better movie than the actual movie
Yeah, I think A Day with Lorenzo Holley would be the better movie: A Lost Media Wiki user wins a trip to spend the day with Lorenzo Holley, but things don't go quite as planned as they get shot...
Sometimes it just feels like we should let this one go cause someone's gonna get shot over it.

Chadtornic made a video on this so the interest is there, Chris Mitchell has been very helpful; I just think the issue is that they are just having trouble contacting the people who would know about this just because they're higher-ups and can't be bothered for some 20-year old obscure thing like this. A proper release just doesn't make any sense considering it's not 2000 anymore, but maybe someday it'll make its way to YouTube.
