Summary: The search for a low-quality Spongebob documentary leads to a strange company known as Reagal Films. It appears that most of the people involved with Reagal don't exist or have no online presence, and that those that do exist are sketchy at best. We've tried contacting most of the people who are confirmed real, and they actively avoid any messages relating to ADWSS or Reagal.
In recent weeks there have been many leads that turn out to be false or don't hold enough weight to be taken as fact. Because of this most of the investigation has shifted to directly contacting people who were associated with Reagal Films, Grands Scale Films (a branch-off company of Reagal), and A Day With Spongebob Squarepants. Most will completely block you or shut off contact with outsiders if these topics are brought up, so if you're new, it's encouraged to check in with fellow LMW posters before making any calls.
Recently some members of the search were able to get in contact with and interview Lorenzo Holley, the apparent CEO of Reagal Films. He has announced plans to possibly release a remake of A Day With Spongebob Squarepants through crowdfunding later this year.
The main search takes place on this forum and in the ADWSS Skype group. Any major finds in the Skype group will be posted into the forums.
Thank you to everyone who helped so far and continues to help with the search. Even with all the dead ends and false leads, we have still made an incredible amount of progress on this search.
How Can I Help?
There's really not much to help out with at this point! Lorenzo Holley may release an ADWSS remake later this year, so we should wait for that before deciding if it's worth searching for the original or not. Who knows, the original version may come with the remake as a special feature. The original version is still considered Lost Media, and I expect a few will want to search for that one once the remake is out.
EDIT: Making this public because I don't want this community associated with any forms of harassment. We've already gotten into contact with Jason Boritz and Jonathan Salemi. There is no need to call or contact either of them again. We are trying to contact Lorenzo Holley directly but rumor is he wants nothing to do with us, so please let everyone know before anyone tries to contact him in any way. Again, it's encouraged to let everyone know who you're contacting before you do, it's likely we or someone else has already gotten in touch with them. Right now is not the best time to be making threats against or harassing anyone at Reagal or associated companies in any way.
If you want to join the Skype group, please message ObscurusDoom.
