I think I could help you. We used to record quite a bit from Disney Channel. I don't remember that exact movie, but maybe there's a commercial or two for this.
Do you think you have a recording from 2004 or maybe 2005? If you do, that would be great! Just let me know if you find anything.
That's where the majority of the recordings come from.
I did a search for old TV schedules, but did not find any schedules for any particular day for 2004-2005. Maybe someone will have a week or two, but that's still a bit of a long shot. To me, this sounds like a ghost movie, like Casper. While those came out a while before when you would have seen it, I know at least Casper Meets Wendy would rerun quite a bit on Disney.

I can't name the song right now. What I mean by "similar-sounding" is that it's kind of similar to something the band would've made, but they didn't perform it. All the songs in the movie are performed by, I assume, super obscure and/or one off artists.

WHOA! McDonald's had that up? I would've loved that as a kid!
Anyways, this kinda sounds like the NES game Sesame Street: ABC & 123 , a collection of 4 games. One of the games, "Letter-Go-Round", involves Big Bird at a circus-type place. Is it that?

Last night, my sister and I were listening to her Spotify Radio, and you know "Welcome To My Life" by Simple Plan, the emo classic? My sister swore she remembered it from the film Clifford's Really BIG Movie, a movie that's definitely not about teenage angst. Naturally, I was curious, and I checked to make sure, but according to the internet, it wasn't in there.
Was that song ever in a similar movie? Specifically a movie from about 2003-2009?

I agree, especially since the guy who posted that also "Wished A Blue's Clues Episode "Blue Takes You To School" Will Aired On Adult Swim With A Banned Scene". Exactly like that.
Speaking of the sample removals - I had only listened to the original Australian version with all the samples intact, but when I went to buy my physical copy of the album, I didn't have enough money for that version. So I bought the more common one, as it was much cheaper, even though I was disappointed it had a bunch of samples taken out.
