No, it's a figure of speech. On a good day, you could download 0.006625 Megabytes per second. That's about 95.4 Megabytes in 4 hours. A 5-meg one-minute 240p YouTube video would take about 12.5 minutes.
The whole Newgrounds generation. It's strangely nostalgic to me despite never actually being on the site at the time due to controlling parents and very spotty internet access (I "got" into the culture later).
Heck, throw in Homestar Runner while you're at it.
Also old "kids MMORPG style games" like Neopets, Wizard101, the Pirate/Monkey ones, Toontown, Club Penguin, Neopets, Animal Jam, again, see above for the reason I didn't get to ACTUALLY play any (Toontown was of most interest to me) but I loved seeing the commercials on Nickelodeon PLUS I have seen wonderful retrospectives on them via Youtubers!

Omg, I remember when I saw commercials all the time for those MMORPGs!! Toontown was actually revived! If you're interested, here's the link! www.toontownrewritten.com/
Hey, hey, hey! Time for a revival of this thread! It's Thursday where I am so...time for a Throwback Thursday!
I've decided to do something a little bit different. How about...screenshots of the past? Let's take a look at some websites I grew up with, as they appeared way back in the day! I tried doing this with Archive links, but I kept getting an error message, so most of these are from google images.
This makes me miss Windows XP. Brings me back to the days where I sat on the computer after school clicking through cat videos.
