Ok, so this is gonna sound really stupid to some of you, but this is something I have had on my mind on and off for a while now, and as far as I know, no photos of this exist.
Back in early-mid 2007, this fun center I went to at one point had a giant jungle-gym area. It was an indoor play area for kids and such. It had the aforementioned jungle gym, a couple arcade machines, and much to my surprise, video games set up for kids to play. There were a couple PCs set up running Humongous Entertainment games and most interestingly of all, game consoles from the time hard-wired into a segment of the jungle gym itself. I remember the section resembling a tree-house. It had a small stairwell, as well as 6-7 stations running games like Mario Kart Double Dash and Luigi's Mansion. There was also a slide that you could take to get back down. I remember there are being other stations running systems like the OG Xbox, which had Revenge of the Flying Duchman running on it.
Now what gets me is that there is no images or visual evidence of this place existing. I looked through old family photos, as well as the Wayback Machine, and I have found nothing. Obviously, the "GameCube tree" was eventually removed, as there are images of the place where it is gone. I'm just hoping someone somewhere can find and post photos of this thing or something similar, because it has just remained as an enigma since childhood.
The place in particular is called Playworks and it's located in Prior Lake, MN.
Hello! I know this was posted a while ago, but I didn't realize anyone else was looking for this! I thought it was a fever dream for a while. I went to Playworks regularly and remember there being a Nintendo 64 with Pokemon Snap. I have also been looking for pictures for a very long time as well! Good luck on your search.
I live vaguely around that area and remember once visiting someplace that had several dozen kiosks set up to play PlayStation 2 games. Haven't really thought about that place in a long while but I guess it's possible I'm thinking of the same location? I only remember PlayStation 2 games though. I remember this place being very large and having stuff like jungle gyms around.
The only game I have a clear memory of is ATV Offroad Fury 2. It was probably around 2003-2004. Maybe I should ask my mom about this. Really doubt she would have pictures though.
