Hi, everyone! This is my first post here on the forum, so I apologize in advanced if starting this thread isn't the right way of going about this. I'm very familiar with the concept of lost media, having watched various YouTube videos on the subject, and even used it as a topic for a live internet show for my college live video production class. My introduction to the concept was through the deleted scenes from Thomas and the Magic Railroad (hence my username), which was officially released on the Shout! Factory Blu-ray in 2020. However, I'm currently interested in starting a new search for a different fandom I'm a part of.
For those who don't know, House of Anubis is a 2011 Nickelodeon mystery/drama TV series, based on the Dutch Nickelodeon show Het Huis Anubis. It was co-produced by Studio 100 (who made the original Dutch show), Lime Pictures, and Nickelodeon. The show is about a new American girl (Nina Martin) arriving at a prestigious boarding school in Britain. At the same time Nina arrives, another popular girl at the school named Joy disappears under mysterious circumstances. Joy's best friend and roommate Patricia instantly believes Nina is to blame for Joy's disappearance, which Nina denies any involvement or knowledge of. Meanwhile, Nina meets an elderly woman named Sarah, who appears confused. Sarah claims to have lived in Nina's boarding school house (the house of Anubis) as a child, that treasure is hidden inside the house, that the caretaker of the house is evil, and that only Nina has the power to find and protect the treasure, among other things. Nina digs into her claims with her friends and discover a mystery that's interconnected to the reason why Joy disappeared. The series follows the students who live at the house and their various struggles surviving school, relationships, and drama as well as how Nina's friends uncover the mysteries that lie within the house of Anubis.
I knew that casting was completed for a very different take on the series early on, probably a lot closer to the original Dutch series, as several changes were made to House of Anubis when compared to Het Huis Anubis, especially in later seasons. However, when looking into this fact, I discovered that filming for a pilot of this version of the show was underway in late 2009, and it was being produced for the BBC as opposed to Nickelodeon. The show was later sold to Nickelodeon and reworked into the show we all know in 2010, with a new cast playing the characters in the final show. (Source)
I would be very interested in starting a search for this pilot. Do you have any tips on how to get an organized search started? Also, would I be allowed to create a new article about this on the Wiki? Any ideas on how to move forward would be appreciated! Thanks!!
