A few years ago, I came across this TylerTristar2IsBack video where he mentions this "Paramount screen with like color bars or something, it's the weirdest" on his copy of the 1994 VHS of the Peanuts special It's A Mystery Charlie Brown. He mentions that this unusual test pattern followed a couple seconds of static which in turn followed the White Screen of Death (a test pattern that's ubiquitous on the ends of VHSes). Here's the video in question, linked directly to the timestamp where he discusses this test pattern:
Around that time, I decided to reconstruct the test pattern. Here's what I think it looked like:
Recently, I've decided to get a bit more serious into searching for this test pattern. Tyler still has that specific VHS as of 2019, so I decided to ask him to record a video of the closing to that VHS, and he hasn't responded back yet. Searching the terms "paramount color bars" and "paramount test pattern" on Google Images turned up nothing, and I even tried to go through multiple videos of Paramount VHS closings from around this time period, including some other Peanuts releases, including another copy of the 1994 It's A Mystery Charlie Brown VHS, and they all either had the video (not the VHS itself) end right after the normal Paramount logo or they didn't have this test pattern (just the typical WSOD with the occasional static and/or Moaning Sound/Pull My Finger at the very end).
With all the roadblocks I keep hitting, I've decided to create this thread so you guys could assist me in this search for this weird test pattern.
