Hey Guys,
This is going to seem like a weird one I suppose but I only recently learned that there was a community of people (like me) who collect rare media. I'm posting here because in the 1990s there was an (Australian?) pop-punk band called Loki. Their band symbol was a swarve-looking devil and I distinctly remember being at a friends house and seeing an animated music video with them.
Now, for the last decade or so I have been trying to hunt down this band. At one point I had a couple of their music videos (recorded from Channel V) on VHS but that VHS has long-since been destroyed. I found a super old interview a few years ago but that is it. No music videos, no CDs, no albums. They just do not have a digital trail at all.
I contacted RAGE (the ABCs music station) but they have no record of the band existing. Can anyone help me?
I know animated music videos were easy to make (especially in the early to mid 90s) so someone has to have some record of it out there and the band weren't too bad honestly. I'd like to have a chance to hear a few of their albums.
A couple things I found: 1. One of the members, Aidan Dickens, went on to start a new band called Azumuth. You can buy the band's self-titled release here, and the description for the album alludes to 3 Loki songs: 'Breakdown', 'Call of Demencia' and "Nothing to Me'. After THAT, he started yet another band, called Illuminus. This one seems to still be active. 2. This might be the Facebook page for Loki's former guitarist - apparently they're a drummer who lives in the Czech Republic, but how many other people on earth could possibly have that name? 3. I found a page referring to the music video for Breakdown. It has this description: "Loki perform Breakdown (in monochrome) intercut with a fashion model (in colour) having a transformative experience (in colour)." There's a place on the page to request a copy of it, no clue if it will work though. 4. A library listing for the Discerning Eye EP. Probably won't do you any good unless you live in New Zealand, but it does include a tracklisting.
...And, that's about it. No Discogs page, which is genuinely surprising. Not on Soulseek, or Apollo (and I would assume there's nothing from them on PTH either, or WCD while it was still active).
My assumption is that outside of that EP and a few singles, they never released anything else. Could be wrong, but it seems that way to me. Either way, hope this helps!

Thanks Kobo, I've gotten in contact with Aiden, he has replied confirming he is the guy I am looking for but I am waiting to hear back more from him. I suspect he will reply later today.

"Nah we didn't have a devil face or an animated video, I know there was another band called Loki around at the same time as we were going, they weren't from Wellington like us though."
The hunt continues I guess. The band I am looking for had a swarve devil face as its Logo and had an animated Music Video with said devil man (black and white if I remember correctly).
