Decided to compare this list to the Beebiss list, and R.C. Pro-Am, and Victory Road are not on the list. Also it's listed as Starforce 2 on the Beebiss list.
This info might not be important, but this might mean Bob got his info from somewhere else.
Edit: Both Starforce and Starforce 2 are on the Beebiss list. imgur.com/o6DeQcj All of the games on here appear on Beebiss list.
Maybe we need to find another old game magazine editor to ask where they got their info, and that might point us to where Bob got his.
I've referenced this guy's articles before, but this one is interesting. There was a showcase of upcoming games, where people received brochures about it. Return of Donkey Kong isn't on here, but Dweebers is. I didn't cross match the games yet, but Bad Dudes is on the list of course.
YYB1 is also listed on this site, but only references the Play It Again listing.
Edit: Return of Donkey Kong and Dweebers both appeared in the same magazine according the website posted above. Dweebers on 3.9, and Donkey Kong on 3.19. Should also be noted that it was in Video Game Quest, which isn't one of the sources in the Return Donkey Kong wiki article.
Edit edit:
I'm gonna just throw this out there, I think there's a chance that this Amazon listing for Video Game Quest can have the wrong date listed. When I was doing research on a video about How to Draw Manga books awhile back, I came across an Amazon listing that I later found had the wrong date listed. Why is this relevant? This could have been both where Bob and David got there info. Think about how Donkey Kong disappears before 1990, and yet, it gets published in this guide in July of 1990? This can be a chicken or egg situation, but I actually think this might be the random connection. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything other than the Amazon listing. The publisher also has a weird generic name that's hard to search for. Any thoughts?
Sorry another edit: The author of Video Game Quest is Jon Dekeles. I might have found him online? I'm just gonna ask him where he got his info and when the book came out.

It's an interesting lead to follow, and I wish you the best. I hope it turns up something.
If I had to take my best guess as to where they got their information on games, though, I would imagine they got it from a variety of sources. Neil said they were into importing games from Japan too, so they probably had a lot of people and magazines they compiled information from.
Hey, I'm back on this again! Something I just noticed is that Yeah Yeah Beebiss is the only game on the list to start with a Y on the list, while all the other letters are accounted for by real games. Perhaps the name was chosen just so it could start with a Y? Of course, Yeah Yeah Beebiss got put before the games starting with X so something odd is going on alphabetically, and as we've discussed before it's not the only game positioned oddly. My guess is that when new games were added to the list they were slotted in without double checking if they were in the right position alphabetically.
Or what if Yeah Yeah Beebiss was added to fill out the list a bit? While changing the font size was certainly possible there might've been a gap of one line at the end had Yeah Yeah Beebiss not been put in. This could again explain the name-not wanting to go back and do the whole list all over again, they picked a name that could be added onto the end easily.
And as for a reason for copyright trap that wouldn't involve legal action, perhaps Play it Again wanted to know which catalogs were using them as a source so that they didn't use them as a source themselves and thus create a circle of sources?

I've got a bit of an unexpected update on this. Last year, a few of us from this thread tried reaching out to Robert Schwartz through a PO Box address that we found. Well, guess what showed up in my mailbox today. I'm sure co will remember this.
The letter we sent was Returned To Sender. It says "BOX CLOSED NO ORDER" What I find particularly funny is that it had an expected delivery date of 5/3/21, over a year ago! I know it doesn't really help much, but at least it ties up that loose end.

So at least we now know he wasn't ducking us. Now I'm wondering if he's alive?
I added the sticker for funsies. It's yours now. If it's still sticky.

Last year I called and reached a man named Robert Schwartz who's phone number was associated with that address. I am 93% confident that he was our guy, and that he's alive and well. But for whatever reason, he just did not want to talk about this.
I'll find a great place of honor for my new sticker Thank you!

Yeah I remember that. Did you give him context? Because I sometimes get weirdly hostile when a number I don't recognize is trying to reach me and I don't know why. Maybe debt collectors are after him. Or he's bitter about his mail in business. The dude seemed whacky based on Neil's account.
