Where the Wild Things Are Teaser Trailer

I'm personally starting to think that it wasn't real, but if it is, it would be an incredible find.

This Reddit post has a lot of sources claiming it was real, but nothing has come from the search so far. It also has a description of the teaser, which seems like it may have just been the films logo with a roar over it.

Hey friend, I actually have a lot of work put in on a video about the full history of the Wild Things movie's production, and I can clear this up.



The Grinch trailer is fake.



The first mention of it was an unsourced edit on the film's Wikipedia page in 2006, back before edits were strictly scrutinized. As time went on, no one removed it or added a source, and by 2008, when the movie was ready to come out, articles were citing that Wikipedia edit as if it were legitimate, but it isn't. While it's true that Universal was working on a version of Wild Things as far back as 2000, it never made it past pre-production, and realistically would have never had a trailer.

The above poster seems pretty sure it’s nonexistent. Either way, it doesn’t sound like critical Lost Media even if it does exist. Heck, a logo on a black background with animal noises playing and the text “Coming Next Holiday” is something anyone could make, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being “found” and then it turns out to be a fanmade hoax.

If you knew more about speedrunning lore, you'd know Guinness World Records don't exactly have the most reliable track record. They cite the Grinch claim which earlier in this thread was debunked. I'd recommend you look up info about folks like Billy Mitchel and Tommy Talerico to see why Guinness is a novelty book and not a credible source of information.
