I think we all have personal media that we lost over time, here's mine:
1. For my computer science class in college we had to make a game. My team makes a RPG with pretty good graphics, I don't think the game exists anymore? It might be on my old laptop but I think it was on a hard drive that was stolen.
2. I also made a really bad "choose your own adventure" game, or because it was based on having a successful date, an otome game? It was all text based and VERY ANGERING. I played it a few years back and couldn't believe how stupidly hard it was, but then the game crashed because it was based on older code that wasn't fixed. I don't know where the fixed game is. I think it's also on my stolen hard drive.
3. On my Gosofo channel I had a video in the works called "Top 6 Dumb Things that Scared Me as a Child." The audio was entirely edited (I always do audio first and then lay down images/drawing footage), and then my dog barely tapped my hard drive while it was plugged in and it died. I actually lost a lot of stuff, including all of that work for the video. This was before I used a script, so I couldn't re-record either.
4. Home movies of me as a kid are lost. One where I had a McDonald's birthday in particular.
5. I made a stupid dub of Ben 10 Alienforce in 2010 and it made people REALLY MAD. It got up to 11k views before it got mass reported, the people who claimed copyright don't exist anymore so I can't even try and get it back.

I had made several music videos (mostly with Ed Edd n Eddy) back in high school and college, but for the most part they are gone. I was actually thinking about recreating some of them, because I’m sure my skills are better now than they were 15 years ago.
Also I don’t know if this counts, but I saved several pictures from Deviant art about 10 years ago. At least some of them (all by the same artist) I can’t seem to find on Deviantart anymore. There is a chance they are still on my old laptop, which I haven’t turned on in five years and is buried under my bed.

If those videos were ever up on YouTube, small chance I watched them. I used to watch a lot of EENE videos back in the day.
I think it counts, one person I was mutuals with on dA disappeared entirely and I still wonder what they're up to these days, and that was 2008.

Just about every single video posted on the JustinHiggins45 YouTube account are all gone at this rate, as well as my other pre-ExtremeWreck2000 YouTube channels. I don't think anyone even bothered to download them. Most of them suck though, & frankly, I only miss the 1st episode of Object Roy, which had a contest in which the characters had to see who could fly the furthest. A 2nd episode was planned, & I even made a sneak peak, & a video with "leaked scenes"(well, it was sort of a parody of leaked scenes videos, for the lack of a better word.), but that was all that came from the 2nd episode as it was never finished. I also made a show called Object Mayhem that was like a poor man's version of the other, more well known Object Mayhem where the host was a purple frisbee.
There was also a series called Super Ultimate Bloopers that was made on some random, now broken phone. I believe I made about 12, or 13 of these. I can only faintly remember a few of the segments that happened in the series. There was some random spring-thingy(might've been a small screwdriver) that said "boingy" for the whole time until getting hit by something. There was one "boingy" segment in every volume IIRC. I also used an eyeball in some segments, & one of them had a tan effect in display, making it look like an old film... or at least a young boy's really bad attempt at trying to make it look like an old film. I also remember that it was either the 11th, or 12th one that was a really long one, & the long one had a song that lasted for about, say... 3 minutes? Yeah, I myself don't even get the joke behind making that song. It was that stupid of a joke. I didn't even had a script in fact. I just did things at random, hoping to get something funny in the process. As far as I know, I never got around to putting these on YouTube at any point in time. They just existed on that phone, wasting space. I couldn't even play videos on it properly, mostly due to bad internet connections, so why even bother with that?
IIRC, I also think there were a few Angry Birds videos I made back then. One of them was some dumb Angry Birds Go! series that never got past the 1st episode. I don't think I even shared it onto the internet.
If you guys want more details about all of this, let me know.

Yes some of them were on You Tube. Remember seeing one of The Safety Dance? LOL
Also did you ever look at Ed Edd n Eddy fan art on Deviant Art? If so I want to ask you if you remember seeing this one person’s Art. I don’t remember their user name. I can just DM you, I don’t need to derail this thread.

My Scratch projects.
Sapo (website/email/internet provider) made a website for us young tuga kids to upload our scratch projects. It closed down in 2018.
I had a bunch of very silly and bad animations, but a small number of people enjoyed it because "dude has potential". I don't know what they saw to be honest. I made those animations on my mother's old computer, and its hardrive died a few years ago. So they're completely lost.
You can find a few snapshots of the website which lists a few of my animations, but they're inaccessible. RIP my first forays into animation and programming...

Oh, this thread hurts. I want to say 95% of my work as a writer and editor are gone.
For context, 15+ years of short stories, novellas, novels (30-90+ chapters long), poetry, lyrics, songs, YTPs, and some script drafts are entirely lost because the sites I hosted them to have since expired or had a migration fuck up that deleted everything (similar to MySpace's infamous 2019 failure). If it wasn't that, it was a tech problem on my end where I wasn't able to back them up or they're possibly rotting on a laptop I have in storage.
Some stuff I don't mind being gone since they were just flat out bad, and others I miss since they were a time capsule of what I was dealing with at the time; particularly when I was in high school and I used writing as an outlet for dealing with just about everything under that life could throw at me, like loss, relationship problems, friends getting cancer, and stuff like that. It was a turning point in my style, so it's been a tough mourning process.

Back up your stuff, guys.
It reminded me of what I used to do, only you had higher quality stuff whereas I just had a camera on the phone to work with alongside some random toys, & plushes.

Oh no! You guys just reminded me of my puppet finger videos. All of them on my mother's old phone... They are better off lost though, they were terrible

Honestly most of my personal lost media is kinda cringy stuff that I don’t really want to uncover lmao. However there is a piece of personal lost media that I remember…
Back in 2015 there was a time I was writing some songs and the notes app on my phone suddenly stopped responding and it wouldn’t let me click on it. I waited a few minutes and it ended up being ALL of my fricking notes at the time were completely erased! I was so devastated since some of those notes were unfinished song lyrics! To this day I still cannot remember what I could’ve written for the song lyrics and it still saddens me that I lost those songs
When I still went to public school, the school system in my city I was in gave all of the students in 5th grade to 12th grade Gmail accounts to use for school projects. I put a lot of my personal writing in there as well, consisting of poorly written fanfiction, attempts at original writing, and poetry.
I ended up dropping out of public school near the end of 9th grade, and part of the process included deleting that Gmail account. Since I'd never thought to back anything there up, there's perhaps 4 years of writing from a significant period of my life that's gone down the drain.
After that, I created another Gmail account to use for online school, and now that I've been done with that for nearly a year, I've completely forgotten the password to it, and since there's no backup email for it, I'm pretty much locked out. Contents of that account include lots of academic writing, photographs from a camera I can no longer access, and perhaps some more personal writing I've now lost.
I should probably archive what I've got on my current Gmail account. I'm just not sure where I'd put it, as I don't think there's enough space on this computer, and I wouldn't want to store it using yet another account I'd be locked out of in several years' time...
