This memory is so faint I'm not exactly sure if I dreamed it or not, so forgive me if this is just a false memory.
I remember being really little (mid to late 2000s) and seeing this show my older sister liked. The show could have been made sooner than that. Late 1990s to mid 2000s is a good range. I remember it starred this CGI cartoon green lizard. He was certainly a male and was lighter green with circular eyes. He would crawl around the screen on a plain white background, as if he was sticking to and playing in the interior of your television. I think he may have talked about animals in a science context. I have a feeling he could have been a segway into some live-action segments, but again, very fuzzy memory here. The show was either focused on science or could have been some Biblical program-- maybe even both.
This may or may not be connected to Zoboomafoo. I had nightmares about that lemur eating me as a kid, so trauma I had back then is preventing me from remembering much about the show. I'm not sure this little lizard dude is part of Zoboomafoo by ANY means. But hey, it's worth a look.
Thanks for helping out! Sorry for the lack of details, and I hope something can come out of this.

I don't think the CGI green lizard was part of Zoboomafoo. I mean, I vividly remember Zoboomafoo having claymation segments, but still, it's not CGI so it's likely not part of Zoboomafoo. I know the memory is fuzzy, but do you remember seeing a watermark in the corner? It could indicate what channel it aired on.
I believe it's "Amazing Animals", also known as "Henry's Amazing Animals" you talk about:
Henry the Lizard! Hey, this was available on VHS, so I bet this is what OP was talking about. This aired on Treehouse TV from 2005-2008, and man, I probably caught on to it, but I don't think I can find a vivid memory of me watching it. Definitely looks like a fever dream.
IT'S NOT A DREAM IT'S REAL!!!!!! OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS FOUND IT!!!!
Not exactly how I remember it, but I know this is it because I got the funny nostalgic feeling when I saw the lizard again. I'm going to have to ask my sister about this and see if she can fill in more of the blanks (we're several years apart)!
My sister had her say on it and here's what we've got...
I asked her whether she remembered a little show called "Henry's Amazing Animals" with the lizard guy and she just put her hands over her mouth. "I've been looking for that for years!" she told me, surprise in her voice. "I didn't even remember the name!"
"Well," I said, "the lost media guys have found it."
She came over to my laptop and I pulled up the video Strekoza and RandyMediaTime sent me. As soon as it came on, my sister began having the nostalgia feelies. Then, as the animals filled the screen, she exclaimed, "I remember this!" and added, "I didn't think it would ever be found!" (Her memories were a lot more vivid than mine, as I don't even recall the theme song, so it's incredible you guys found this on so little evidence.)
She also commented remembering that Henry was really funny, something else that was shared with my memories. In short, my sister is absolutely ecstatic about a huge part of her childhood being found. She thanks you guys for helping!

Aww, glad to see that you and your sister are happy. The power of nostalgia is indeed a great feeling. It always feels good to see a show that you haven't heard or seen in years. Reminds me of the time when I found out about Farzzle's World (coincidentally also took place in a white BG) and I forgot that show existed for many years. You're welcome.

I'm late to the party I was gonna say Henry's Amazing Animals I rediscovered it not too long ago myself. Rediscovering shows from your childhood is a magical feeling isn't it?
