As you all know, Treetown had its own half-hour show and interstitials. Many of the Treetown episodes have been found, along with the Treetown shorts. Although, there were these things called vignettes, and they seem like Treetown shorts, but they're actually not. These would play after a lot of shows, they wouldn't be fillers for a certain big show on Treehouse, they would play anytime.
Vignettes started airing around the late 90s until about 2004. I've been told that they were actually brought back around September 2005, and continued airing those until it was taken off the air again on December of 2005. Surprisingly, these aired again around November 2007, and then they last aired sometime around January of 2008. This never aired on TV again after this.
Now I noticed that the audio version of 'Cush's Purple Stew' was released on YouTube 5 years ago on Ian Pester's channel, and there are people who remember this and want to see the footage, which is why this thread has been created. I also noticed that ONE SECOND of the vignette was found on a user's recording on YouTube, but we're trying to look for the entire footage. I know that someone uploaded parts of their recording, which includes two vignettes, but the videos are gone now.
Brief description of the vignette: It involves Cush singing a song about his purple stew, holding a wooden spoon. There were ingredients sitting beside the pot and were thrown into the stew throughout the song. As Cush stirs the ingredients, he would put Treetown characters into the pot such as Tansy and Rosabelle, Stu, and Osbert. (judging from the song) "And we stir... And we stir... And we throw Tansy and Rosabelle into the pot!" At the end, everyone is treated with purple stew.
I was around 2 years old when these vignettes aired in 2007, and I am sure that I watched those, but I am not 100% sure if I remember seeing 'Cush's Purple Stew' air on Treehouse. It seems pretty vague to me now and I feel like I probably watched it, after listening to the audio version.
Does anybody remember when was the last time 'Cush's Purple Stew' last aired on Treehouse or has any Treehouse recordings featuring vignettes? (other vignettes would be great too) Checking the CRTC logs would be a good idea.
