Hey all! You may have seen a couple months ago that I launched a site of my own, Nickstory Archives, which is basically trying to catalog every Nickelodeon broadcast schedule... ever. We're taking it to the extreme and including not just every episode title we're able to determine, but also pictures from the actual broadcasts whenever a recording exists. I've even teamed up with well-known news site Nickandmore! to help build the archive and give the project that extra dose of passion. Our goal is to create a one-stop website for Nickelodeon fans and researchers alike and create the first serious chronology of their development as a channel.
The other big mission is to figure out the correct air date's for Nickelodeon's shows. A shocking number of the 90's - early 00's shows (such as SpongeBob, Rocko's Modern Life, and even Dora the Explorer) have incorrect air dates circulating all over the internet, and there's no record of when episodes of these shows actually premiered. One of the key ways we're about to make the distinction of which episode of a show aired when TV listings fall short is through old TV recordings of Nick... which brings me to the reason for this thread.
I need TV recordings of Nickelodeon. Literally, anything you have from the USA channel that's just laying around could be impeccable to our research. Commercials or no commercials, complete or incomplete, anything is everything. 99% of the time, we're able to use it. Sometimes knowing when something aired can come down to something as simple as audio promos during a show's credits or the shape of the Nickelodeon logo on screen during the show.

While some of the shows themselves might not be "lost media", the broadcast information itself may very well be lost forever unless somebody does something. It is up to us as fans to track down what we're able and see that it's preserved.
Attached are a couple samples of the kind of magic our research can lead to.
