This randomly popped into my head today, and it took a while of Googling, but I finally found the evidence. For a while, all I could find was the scratch and sniff card distributed by Burger King for use with theater showings of Rugrats Go Wild in 2003. The problem was: not only did I remember it being before that, but I also remember it being a general Nickelodeon promotion meant to be used with TV, rather than with a specific movie in theaters. I was at the grocery store and there was a person dressed in a big Tommy Pickles costume (kind of like the one in the live musical) and they were handing out cards. Well, I eventually found this:
I guess it was a Kool-Aid cross-promotion. It would just be interesting to have the broadcasts of these episodes with the "scratch and sniff" prompts popping up. And if anyone still had the actual cards, the original experience could be recreated.
