Hi, hope you're all doing okay during this global situation.
I am looking for a film about a girl who was captured by Native Americans and she chronicles her experience in a diary. She meets and marries a Native man and he sadly is killed. She later writes about it to her father, who once disapprove of Natives and now has a change of heart after reading her diary.
I don't remember this TV movie's name and it was on YTV, back in the 1990s.
It was part of some TV movie series, much like the Composers Specials. (It had other films where young women chronicled their experience in work, war, among other things in a diary.)
I remember one line the lead character said was, "I want to greet the soldiers." Implying it was set during the time of war.
Does anyone remember this?
There's nothing wrong with admiration for vintage but it should not be taken too seriously.
Was this live action? I watched something similar in my 5th grade class I think. Was it a girl and her brother who were captured? If not then it's not the same thing

Yes it was live action.
The girl I remember had blonde hair.
