Where I used to live, there was a small town community radio station that I would listen to all the time. Whenever I heard a song I liked, I would either wait until the DJ did a recap of their set list, or I would look online at the archive.
Unfortunately, since it was small and volunteer-based, the station's archive was incomplete. In addition, DJs would come and go, so it's hard to really pinpoint who was playing what and when they were playing it.
The melody itself is very catchy and simple, so I thought I'd try my luck. Please let me know if it rings a bell! Here's what I remember:
1) The melody was sung with digitally altered voices. I remember them being vocoded, but they may have had a different type of digital enhancement. The voices were somewhat robotic and had a humming quality to them, similar to Daft Punk's vocals.
2) The melody had lyrics, but what I remember is pretty uncertain. It was hard to understand the lyrics due to the vocoder. This is my best guess:
We can find a place that is safe, that is warm
Oh, we can find a place that is safe, __?__,
We can find a place that is safe, that is warm,
Oh, we can find a place that is safe.
3) The overall vibe of the song was very peaceful. The instrumental was very easy-going and gentle.
