As Disney's new streaming service launches in November 12, I decided to look back at one of Disney's forgotten blocks/channels, Jetix, which was bought from Fox Family Worldwide after Disney bought the company to change it into "ABC Family", which is now known as Freeform. (ironic that Disney now owns Fox, ey?) While we may not see most of the Jetix shows appearing on the service, as Jetix was built on the previous library of Fox Kids shows, I wanted to see what I could do to relive the experience of watching the network. I basically compiled most of the old shows and created a whole server based off of that (before you ask, I don't condone piracy in the slightest but some of these shows have not received DVD releases or content releases on streaming platforms. It's unknown if Disney will strike content deals to put certain Jetix shows on Disney+)
Whilst trying to compile these shows, I noticed a lot of missing episodes and shows which have no found recordings of existence. These are mostly the ones co-produced by Jetix Europe and/or SIP Animation/CineGroupe, or shows broadcast on Jetix US.
Combo NiƱos - This show has only had most of it's episodes found in different languages. Alongside these episodes, the show aired on English territories but unfortunately despite this, the majority of episodes have been lost to time and only around 14 have been discovered in the wild. Whilst the Lost Media Archive states there are "13" episodes found, Kid Grinto is another episode still on YouTube and can be found easily with a quick Google search. Most of these episodes were recorded on Australian digital channel, 7TWO, because in Australia, Jetix was not a channel (despite Fox Kids closing in 2004) and Disney aired their content on Seven Network's channels (because Disney had struck a deal with the parent company for years). Around 12 episodes are still missing from the internet and have never had a proper DVD release.
Daigunder - Despite this show airing on Jetix US, there are still 11 episodes missing from the series. There are rumors that Disney stopped airing the series after the 28th episode, but many sites still document the English names of the next 11 episodes. It's known that these episodes were dubbed or aired in other countries, but I'm assuming that Disney definitely stopped airing the show probably due to the "26 episode" limit being far exceeded than it should've or Daigunder ratings were very low and stopped broadcasting the rest on the block.
UPDATE: The show was aired in full in Canada on Family Channel, as well as airing in New Zealand on TVNZ. The full sub of the series can still be found with all the 39 episodes subtitled but only 28 episodes can be found of their dubbed origin.
Funky Cops - Even though this show being on FoxBox in the US, Funky Cops aired on certain Jetix channels in Europe, most notably the UK. Only around 24 episodes are found in English on the Funky Cops English YouTube channel, but the French dub can easily be found on YouTube. In the US, 4Kids stopped airing the show and moved it to the 4Kids website due to the abysmal ratings the show was getting. Worth noting that this show has a LMW article, which has some of the information as to what's happened with the series.
Mon Colle Knights - Only Episode 38 is lost. It's unknown if this happened due to recent events or news interrupting the broadcast of this episode and/or the episode wasn't produced in the dub. And despite Jetix only airing it again, we don't know if this was the same case for the Jetix broadcasts.
Urban Vermin - This show is technically not lost media, but is unavailable outside of Canada, despite airing on European Jetix networks (including the UK, Central Europe, etc.). Canadians can only view the series on Bell Media's streaming service Crave. Clips of the episodes can be found on YouTube, but not the episodes themselves unfortunately. Only 4 episodes can easily be found non-geoblocked on YouTube.
What's with Andy? - All of seasons 1 and 2 are already found in English, but season 3 has a couple of missing episodes in English: "Heart of Prankness" and "Prank-Watch". These episodes are not hard to find in Russian or other languages but finding the English versions of these episodes are pretty difficult to locate.
This is just a list of shows which I know have lost, missing or geoblocked episodes which I have been able to look up. Again, these shows are impossible to find on many streaming services and these episodes may end up just being lost to time. I created the thread for the sake of finding these episodes/shows and to finally complete them correctly. I have noted these shows on the LMW Discord prior, but I felt like writing a thread would help with the research of these shows. Feel free to note any shows I have missed out in this thread.
