Greetings from Canada! I’ve been trying to find this strange short film from my childhood for quite some time now, and I was hoping the members of these forums could help lend a hand.
This short film aired on either IFC (Independent Film Channel) or the Movie Network here in Canada sometime in the mid to late 2000’s, although the actual age of the film may be older than that for all I know.
The plot from what I can remember is about a man who’s body is sentient and speaks to him as a voice in his head. They argue and fight, all with the man tries to conceal his dilemma from his neighbours. The film ends with a panning shot of his neighbours staring in shock as the man’s body walks down a flight of stairs, Headless, and happy as can be. His head is left back on the apartment floor, desperately trying to move or do anything.
The credits roll with a frame showing a POV perspective of the man’s head on the floor, when his dog grabs him and begins to bury him in the backyard, with the screen growing darker as the credits end.
Does anyone know anything about this film or can provide any information on this?
It was likely some sort of Art film or Independent film based off the airing/channel; I just want to know more!
