So, you guys know Little Einsteins, right? Basically, it's this show that aired in 2005 on Playhouse Disney (before they changed the name to Disney Junior) by The Baby Einstein Company, (known for creating the Baby Einstein series) and was aimed at preschoolers, rather than infants, like the already mentioned Baby Einstein.
Well, originally, it went under a different name called "Little Einstein", and there was an unaired pilot made around 2004, which had different designs for the characters, and Rocket, and yeah. That's all I know.
Although, a trailer from 2004 featuring clips from the pilot, including an "After the Program" bumper (seen on some Baby Einstein videos/DVDs) can be found on YouTube: m.youtube.com/watch?v=xmYdblx9UWk (Trailer)
I actually made an attempt to research this late last year, and remembered having a lot of difficulty with it.
iirc the biggest problem I ran into was the fact that the pilot was developed by a few different people/companies that ultimately changed hands by the time the main series came out, so there was like no distinct person or studio to go after.
And in regards to contacting people I had talked to a few, though I don't believe that any of them were around for the creation of the pilot (despite having worked on the main series in its earliest seasons).
While alll of this was a while ago like I said, there's still a lot of complication to this one and I think it'll be difficult to get a hold of the right people who would also happen to have or know where to get the pilot from.
I found an unsourced quote on the Little Ensteins Wiki talking about the production of the pilot. It is attributed to Frank Summers, who was working at Curious Pictures in 2005-2007.
"Annie's pocket was posed to be a magic pocket where she could pull out many items" and "Leo was also going to have a pocket where he can do pull out some magic items and his baton" (He stated "These changes were denied before I started animating on the series")
I can't seem to find the source for this quote; it may have been transcribed from a video or live stream. I haven't checked those yet, but it looks like there are many videos to go through. The wiki page was created on July 23, 2017, so we may be looking for something around that date.
Looks like there is quite a bit of data on the Curious Pictures Linked-In page, as well as the Baby Einstein company page. The old wiki states that production on the pilot was done by Bolder Media, but give no source. It's probably one of the clips we have.
