I'm sure that there is a lot of people know about the name "Powerpuff Girls Z" which it is an magical girl anime adaptation of the Craig McCracken-created cartoon aired on Cartoon Network, "The Powerpuff Girls" that was aired back in July 1st, 2006 in Japan.
Now why am I typing about Powerpuff Girls Z? Didn't it have a English dub that was broadcasted in the Philippines and Australia by a studio named Ocean Productions in Vancouver, Canada who, by the way, of course are the guys who dubbed Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha, Black Lagoon, Death Note, Mobile Suit Gundam and a whole lot more from their dubbing library?
Well I have some information that I'm sure a few people didn't know about PPGZ, so let me give to ya right now.
If you have watched all the episodes of PPGZ on YouTube, you might notice the audio from the first 26 episodes to the last 26 episodes of PPGZ where the first 26 episodes has uncompressed stereo audio that it is coming from a master tape and it was released on DVD in Thailand and the last 26 episodes has compressed stereo audio that it is coming from a broadcast on the Australian version of Boomerang. So if you want the last 26 episodes of PPGZ on uncompressed stereo audio, where can you get them? VCDs! In Thailand! However, of course like the lost and partially found Southeast Asia dubs on the Lost Media Wiki page said, "they've long gone out of print and are difficult to obtain".
And I've heard that a user from Toonzone.net back in 2008 said there was a dub that was faithful to the Japanese version like for example, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup were Momoko, Miyako and Kaoru and New Townsville was Tokyo City and I think this supposed dub was aired in the Philippines and it was done by Ocean Productions. But I think that it is just false information.
Anyway, what did you guys think about this information about Powerpuff Girls Z? Is it interesting or not?
Until next time...
