I'm a French-speaking Belgian, and I'm here to see if there's somewhere a rerun of a show from my childhood aired in Belgium: G-Nôme. It didn't stay on the screen for long because the presenters wore a Siamese human costume with two heads named G-Nôme. In the story of the show, it's a creature created artificially during a scientific experiment. It's constantly connected to medical equipment and talks to its imaginary friends represented by the audience. Doctors often visit it, and when it starts to argue with itself (I remind you that it has two heads), the doctors inject it with a sedative that makes it happy. And when I think back now, it's true that it was really on the edge for young children. It was broadcasted on RTBF, a national channel at a prime time slot around 2002. I'm really surprised that there's nothing left of it. When I mention it to friends, they have a vague memory, but nothing conclusive. As for older people, they argue that such a show could never have been aired. The only trace of this show that I could find is an article (in French) talking about the fact that the puppet was going to be removed. I'm attaching a link to this article in the hope that it might help you in your search or at least corroborate what I'm saying.
