Yesterday, Paramount+ removed 9 shows off the streaming service. Rugrats (2021) was unfortunately one of the series that suffered this purge. Rugrats (2021), if you are wondering, was the CGI reboot of the classic 1991 Nicktoon that premiered back in May of 2021 on Paramount+ and in August of that year on Nickelodeon. It seems though Nickelodeon is trying to erase it from existence, despite doing pretty well for a while. Paramount+'s removal of their own series, coupling with new episodes airing exclusively on Nicktoons at 3 in the morning, are signs that Paramount is likely tax writing off the series. Onwards to the actual topic.
Season 3 of the series was announced back during San Diego Comic Con on July 23, 2022, alongside a first look of the second season. Season 3 was likely completed before the series' removal off of Paramount+. If anything, the season might be scrapped or shelved. Rugrats in past has had many lost media ranging from the Incredible Storyboard Jam to the cancelled Carmichaels spin-off series, so the reboot might ended up as lost media (at least for now.)
Didn't know about the cancelled Carmichaels spin-off, how far along did that get?
I have to say given the negative reaction this reboot got i'm not surprised and i'll admit I wasn't a big fan of it but the idea of a completed season being shelved is pretty shitty and I hope it comes out at some point.

I'm so mad that paramount+ is now starting to remove shows as well, if warner bros discovery wasn't enough. This is why i never payed for any streaming services and sticked to dvds and pirating (if something wasn't on dvd).

Oh this isn't the first time they've done this, they also removed Fairly Oddparents Fairly Odder last year.
