The Simpsons on Cartoon Network (Official)

It's all about international broadcasting rights. These can be different for every region because they're individually sold. So the broadcaster behind CN Philippines happened to be the same company with the rights to air The Simpsons in the region. No matter what it's still really weird to see Homer Simpson's existence anywhere within CN City.

The episodes had to have censorship. So, Cartoon Network aired alternate versions of the episodes with some changes. The interesting thing would be seeing all the ways they had to alter scenes and stuff. Also, some bumpers for the show on CN may be lost as well.

Was it confirmed that it was censored? 

Well, that's what the article I gave said, although I couldn't find confirmation. But, considering it aired on Cartoon Network, it has to be assumed that they needed to make changes to the show. If CN had to make edits to movies like Shrek, then that's the logical conclusion.
