I didn't know where to put this, so I decided to put it into the off-topic section.
In Ireland, we have a large fastfood chain called Supermac's, which is a direct copy / knockoff of McDonald's, although I, and many others, much prefer it over McDonald's. Supermac's has existed since 1978, and in recent years, has been attempting to branch out with new "sub-chains", the most well known being "SuperSubs", a direct copy / knockoff of Subway. I have seen various SuperSubs locations, such as at the Barrack Obama plaza, Junction 14, and several Applegreens, but the mysterious restaurant is one which I saw in Portlaoise a few years ago, there was Supermac's, and to the left of it, SuperSubs, and at the very end, "SuperKings". SuperKings is the restaurant I want to find something about. I didn't order from it, nor pay attention to it, other than thinking "oh, wow, it looks like Supermac's are doing a Burger King knockoff now", but now, after all this time, I cannot find any photos or advertisements for this restaurant. I had assumed Supermac's had once again gotten into legal trouble. In the past, McDonald's attempted to sue them and lost, so I assumed perhaps Burger King were unhappy, and tried the same, with more success, but there are no media articles about any court cases involving it.
After returning to Portlaoise, I saw the sign that once said SuperKings had it's cover removed, leaving only the bulbs in it's place.
I had gone back many times shortly after, but only once did I see SuperKings. It mustn't have lasted long, as I had returned only weeks later.
TL;DR There is an Irish bootleg Burger King that I saw years ago and want to confirm it's existence.
Might be a really boring topic that won't get any response due to (I assume) a lack of Irish people on this site, as well as a lack of caring about restaurants outside of America, but I just want to know something about it, since it mildly fascinates me that I have managed to see this rare, one of a kind restaurant, never to see it again.
