What the title says. I think she will be because when the original game came out in the US back in 2004, being trans (and heck, being LGBT in general) was taboo. In addition, the game came out around the same time that the Postcards from Buster episode Sugartime was banned because it had two moms. While we still have a little bit to go when it comes to LGBT people in the media, episodes aren't no longer banned because they have an LGBT character/moment in them. And since every other version of TTYD either depicts Vivian as trans or a crossdresser (except the German and English versions), I feel like it would be a perfect time to make her trans.

Well, I think the pronouns are different in the Japanese version? That's what I heard. I love her anyway lol
But the thing is Vivian is trans, just not in the English and German versions of the game. Heck, even the Italian version says that she's trans and she's proud of it! And she was even named after a trans actress in the Spanish version!

also Japan doesn't have less trans/non-binary people, they're just a lot more closeted/not vocal about it. they prefer privacy and subtlety whereas western countries tend to prefer explicit/open representation
