I've found a Canadian Country band called Desert Dolphins. They've had two big songs Dynamite (1994) and Foolproof (1996). The problem is I can't find hardly anything about any of the songs, not even lyrics. I've found some articles with pictures of the band and I can't rule them out as a possibility for WTWWSE (When the World was so Easy) especially without the songs or its videos.

Hey so funny story I made this account just so I could respond to you but I also came across The Desert Dolphins while I was looking for WTWWSE so it's an amazing coincidence that we both found the same band when I would have to assume we took different paths to get to it (for instance I had no idea those newspaper articles even existed so you've already helped my search immensely!)
But after I saw your post a couple days ago it motivated me to do some real detective work and see if I could find any shred of evidence that this bands music was available online at all and by some miracle I was somehow about to find just ONE of their songs called "Here's What They Say" and I uploaded it to my YouTube channel

I was also able to find a coloured picture of the band about 2 weeks ago

Hope we can find more of their songs and their 2 music videos in the future!

I posted this on Reddit and the mod commented saying that they have been in touch with the guitarist of the band and he didn't recognize the song or the video so I'm afaird this has been ruled out as a possibility for WTWWSE...
