So even though I don’t think this will be fully found soon, but I contacted Cartoon Network saying this.
I know you people aired Johnny Bravo, but you probably hear of the spin-off, called JBVO. JBVO is a Your All Request Cartoon Show was a programming block that aired Sundays on Cartoon Network from April 2, 2000, to mid-2001. It was hosted by Johnny Bravo, along with some infrequent guest stars such as Chicken (from Cow and Chicken). Callers would write into the show via mail or through the Cartoon Network website to call the show and request a cartoon from Cartoon Network's cartoon library, which would then be played, with an exception of half-hour-long shows, even though the series got cancelled for unknown reasons. And the show would never rerun again. But now that you have Checkered Past, a block where it rerun Cartoon Network shows from the 90’s and 2000’s, you could probably repair Johnny Bravo and JBVO.
This is gonna take a while for them to reach out for me.
Recently a user uploaded a good chunk of the series to Archive, this was the same source where we found the full JBVO DBZ episode. I wish JBVO would air on Checkered Past but it seems really unlikely to me, they haven't even aired Johnny Bravo on the block yet.
Many years ago I researched most of these Johnny Bravo spin-off blocks and a lot of them continue to be elusive.
JBVO is the one that has been recovered the most, with one user who has every episode on tape having begun the process of digitizing them. I think they got about a third of the way through the series when they were hit with a takedown on their archive.org account, but they told me they will get them back up and continue to digitize the remaining episodes.
Viva Las Bravo was like a spiritual successor to JBVO that aired in the mid 2000s on Cartoon Network UK. I'm pretty sure more of its content has resurfaced over the years but not to the extent of JBVO, mostly only more commercials and promos. However I'm pretty sure this topic has made the rounds with more users over the years, with claims that people remember watching it as kids or have recordings from back then. I don't think any of those leads have really materialized but I know there was discussion about it at one point.
Toon FM was basically JBVO, but the European version of it. It had different host characters and animations used in it, compared to American JBVO. Very little of this block had been saved last time I checked, and apparently they aired special version of it too like "Live from Tokyo". We have no idea how much exclusive content exists or if there are any regional exclusive features- 3 or 4 different dubs exist for the different languages in Europe and they all have very little available online.
Finally is Big Bravo Breakfast, which was only discovered to exist years after the initial interest in the previous three. Again, there's almost nothing known about it aside from a couple promos that someone uploaded to YouTube. I think the uploader was actually the person who made them for Cartoon Network so if it hadn't been for them, we'd probably have no idea it existed. I believe it was also a Cartoon Network UK exclusive block but someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong.
It's also possible more of this content has been in circulation since I last looked but I believe it's all up to date. I haven't really heard of anyone looking for or having come across any of this after the JBVO tapes were uploaded.
I think they got about a third of the way through the series when they were hit with a takedown on their archive.org account, but they told me they will get them back up and continue to digitize the remaining episodes.
This is reassuring to hear. I had seen the tapes uploaded already and I wasn't aware of the takedown. Wishing the uploader well.
