Back in the 2000s (possibly during the time Wii wasn't discontinued), Ubisoft decided to take on Rabbids and combine it with Mario, making a build that was little known than Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
The game, known as "Mario and Rabbids" (unofficial title until someone at LMW or a different website reveals the official title) was a crossover video game. The plot and gameplay was unknown, but based on this image (https://www.denofgeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Super-Mario-Ubisoft.jpg?w=1024), this was possibly a video game platformer made in 2D with a little 3D (which is called 2.5D).
The image features Mario (Luigi is absent in the image, he may have possibly appeared in the game or something?) running in a platformer while the Rabbids take Bowser (Peach is absent too, I also think she may have appeared in the game). I speculate that they were taking Bowser away so they could make Rabbid Bowser or was a platformer that would involve Mario saving Bowser. And if I remember, based on the art, the clouds would have eyes again since Super Mario Bros. and its sequel, The Lost Levels.
Unfortunately, due to the game being cancelled and production being completely finished before cancellation, the build is lost to the whole world. And, just like United! and The Sad Story of Henry (live broadcast), it will never be found.
If anyone gets to find more info on this game, share it in the comments.
I dont think a build was ever made, from what i understand, this concept art was made for a presentation to pitch to nintendo in order to get the IP of Mario and start production of this concept, however this pitch never happened and this version of the crossover didnt go any further than that, at least from what I understand.
