For those who don't know, I am a HUGE fan of Akazukin ChaCha, particularly of the 1994 anime by Studio Gallop. However, before the anime, there was the manga by Min Ayahana. I've read a bit of the manga & I also really like it(although not as much as the anime), but this isn't really what it's about. I'm talking about some lost material from her & I thought of shedding a spotlight on these pieces of lost media.
Warera High School Hero: The supposed 1st published manga of hers, which was on the Autumn 1991 issue of Ribon Bikkuri Daizoukan. Its Japanese name is not mentioned on any known site & said issue of that magazine is nowhere to be found online unfortunately. No known images of it can be found either.
Gonta wo Korose!: I can't seem to find a full scan of this manga anywhere. There is this website which has a link to where you can find a scan of the 1st chapter of the manga, but the full series is seemingly locked behind a paywall from the looks of it.
An appearance of her on TV as seen in this mysterious image, possibly from a documentary on/about shojo manga or perhaps even a full on documentary about the making of Akazukin ChaCha(hopefully the latter, since there is like, NO information surrounding how the original manga got made, though privacy laws in Japan might mean it sadly might not be the case).
Various oneshots: She supposedly made several of these & there was apparently a whole book she made that had almost all of them, but I could only find 3 of these so far, with all 3 being fan translated to English. Those 3 oneshots are Ogre Love, The Girl With Unruly Hair & Hot Baby Blooded War, all of which can be found here alongside the Pyon manga she also made(the oneshots are volumes 5.1-5.3).
Akazukin ChaCha N: A 2011-2019 manga reboot that takes place in modern day Tokyo. Can't find any scans of this one online sadly.
Akazukin ChaCha English dubs: This includes the well known Creative Products English dub that aired on Cartoon Network in Southeast Asia, as well as 2 other English dubs; one for AXN & another for Channel i. There is barely any information known about the latter 2 English dubs compared to the Creative Products dub.
Possible other lost material out there? Maybe a pilot of the '94 anime exists or unsold pilots for some of her other manga? Who knows?
