Hello! Hoping someone here can help. /r/TipOfMyTongue on Reddit wasn't very helpful.
The first place I ever heard Michael Sembello's "Maniac" was on TV in an ad for some sort of mop product. The song played as the mop moved quickly around the floor.
I don't remember if this was a commercial or an infomercial, but I'm leaning more towards commercial.
I saw it sometime in the early to mid 2000s. I would say it was no later than 2007 but it could have been as early as 2002. 2003 - 2006 is the most likely time frame. I've never been able to find it online.
I should also make sure I mention that I'm 90% certain it was a mop product, but I feel like there's a small possibility that I am misremembering and it was actually a vacuum.

No, this isn't it. Someone already suggested this on Reddit. It doesn't have much in common with my commercial aside from the song.
Edit: I would say that the most important defining feature of this commercial is "Maniac" playing as the mop (or possibly vacuum) quickly moves around on the floor. Any suggestion that does not contain this can easily be ruled out.
