I've been on the search for this documentary for honestly many years now. It's called "Guys 'N Divas: Battle of The Highschool Musicals". It use to play on channels like HBO and Cinemax years ago. It's a documentary about the competitive side of Highschool theater productions in the esrly 2000's. It follows 3 schools in Indiana and it shows the full production from beginning to the end as they compete against each other. It featured productions of shows such as "Zombie Prom".
I use to love watching this documentary when it was on. It obviously reminded me of Highschool and it's realism of the teenage years. Then suddenly one day it completely vanished from TV and the internet. All that can be found is a very small and pointless imdb page and a trailer on YouTube but the movie itself is literally no where to he found.
I've even spoken to people who were actually in the film as well as parents of those who have passed away since the film and they've all told me that they don't even have access or a copy of the documentary whatsoever. Some have even asked me hopefully to give them a copy if I ever find one.
Currently right now the film is actually being streamed for the first time in over 10 years and I jumped on it to try and gain access to it. However it's being streamed on Fetch. An Australian streaming service that requires a physical Fetch box as well as an Australian credit card to even gain access to watch it or purchase the film. After reaching out to Fetch and explaining the whole situation and search, they were unwilling to help at all since I'm in America.
The film was released under Lionsgate which you'd think would make it easy however even Lionsgate have never responded to me. I've even tried to find a torrent of it and found nothing. It's like this film was completely erased from existence and people's memories except those who were exactly in it.
This has been a search and determination that's been killing me for many years now. I've reached out to so many sources and have reached out to those who write in the comments of the YouTube video of the trailer for the film. Absolutely no luck whatsoever. So if anyone has a copy or know a good source to try and make progress on this search please let me know.
