I just watched the movie Holes today and there is a line that I thought was different. In the part where Stanley writes a letter for his mom, the doctor interrupts by entering the room and says “one of your smells like the puke of a mule who’s been ruminating on asparagus for a week.” I always thought it was “piss” not “puke”. “Piss” makes more sense in that context, but it is kind of vulgar for Disney. Does Disney + have an edited version? Did I somehow see a director’s cut back in the day? I think I might have the original DVD somewhere, I’m going to have to check.
Please follow up on this! Disney has been known to censor movies on Disney+ so it's definitely a possibility.

I checked out the parents’ guides on sites like Common Sense Media and IMDB and neither of them mention the use of the word “piss”. I did come across some deleted scenes with the line I remember in it. I’m guessing I probably just saw that and thought it made more sense than what was in the film proper.
I was long under the impression that the Summon Knight game series had only gotten the first (spin off) game (Summon Knight Swordcraft Story) localized in the USA. To my surprise, when I randomly looked up the series, apparently the GBA sequel to SK:SS AND the DS game (Twin Age) both got English localizations, and I believe both in the USA.
I was almost 100% positive that "Hey Bunny" by Baby Bugs came out around October of 2020. I swear I remember seeing people posting those alt Tiktoks to it with bangs over their eyes while wearing bunny hats, but it turns out it came out in 2021. Lots of people remember this, too, I only found out my memory was wrong when I saw a post about it about a year ago.
I thought I owned a copy of Oregon Trail 4 as a bday gift when I was much younger, and could never even get past the first town because I couldn't figure out who I was supposed to speak to leave. I'm visiting home and we only seem to have the 3rd. With the 2 discs, which I remember as being the 4th game? WTHeck???
I swear I remember seeing the monopoly man with a monocle when I was younger, I explicitly remember noticing that detail on the character before, but apparently it never existed and it’s so bizarre
Also, the “objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear” actually being “are” instead of “may be” is so bizarre to me too
but also also, Pikachu 101% had a black tip, im sure of it.
Looking at a colouring book I ordered (don't judge me) and the female hippo from Hungry Hungry Hippos is now blue? Looked up the 2000s version only to find out ALL of them had eyelashes and not just Happy Hippo? It's easier to tell on ebay - I thought there was only one that was confirmed a girl by hyperfeminization. And now the blue one is the only girl? Cartoon character stereotypes are confusing...
Posted this elsewhere on the site, but I still want to know if this was real or if I've been misremembering all these years.
Pretty sure I remember the theatrical release of Kung Fu Panda having the original version of Kung Fu Fighting in the end credits. I remember thinking they changed it when we got the DVD.
In all honesty, I was really young, so this really could be a misremembered moment in my childhood. Or it could be an example of the Mandela effect and I'm the only one that seems to have been living in the AU all this time.

I actually saw those credits many, many times in the theater and I never once saw the original Kung Fu Fighting being used, only the "remade version" (US release for reference.) I do wonder if maybe if it isn't a Mandela effect, it was some type of bizarre songs rights dispute and quiet coverup in certain areas of the world. I know that happens with games at least, in terms of earlier nonpatched versions of games or international versions of games-I have the 3rd Spyro game on the PS1 and the music for Crystal Islands and Lost Fleet were different from later versions. I only heard the "real" songs when I played the Reignited Trilogy!

Didn’t they use the original at the end of KFP3? Maybe that is getting you mixed up?

As a kid I drew pikachus tail with a black tip.
I swear there was at least one non cosplay pikachu with a black tip in like an official plush or art.

If I’m correct another artist covered it for KFP3 tho it could’ve just been for the soundtrack.
I remembered a entirely different cut of a Fanboy and Chum Chum (don't ask) episode, specifically the episode "Fanboy Ahoy". I actually remembered how the episode while the most part the same, had a scene where Fanboy and Chum Chum are stranded in an island. I swore I saw that exact moment in a promo for premieres of new episodes for the show. The scene I remembered was after Fanboy and Chum Chum getting ambushed by their crewmates, rather than having them walking the plank like in the real episode. I might be confusing this with the episode "Fan vs Wild" which premiere around the same time and is about Fanboy, Chum Chum, and Kyle stranded on top of the Frosty Mart roof. Somehow, I combine the 2 episodes into 1 different episode entirely.
