I don't know where else to look, but the original cast recording (not the Shiki version) is dangerously close to becoming lost media. It does not exist on Internet Archive as far as I'm aware, what videos did exist on YouTube have been completely scrubbed, and it has also been pulled from every music streaming platform I know of. There are 2 left on Amazon, which I believe may be one of the last ones available.
The only other one I've seen is on eBay for over $150 USD, that's it, only 3 left for purchase on what feel like the whole net.
There is a small section of the soundtrack available on Dailymotion, but if those get taken down then there will be none left on video platforms as far as I'm aware.
If anyone manages to get their hands on the soundtrack, please archive it before it's lost forever to the Shiki version, which seems to be replacing it on all platforms.
I say "Shiki version" because the new release uses "SHIKI THEATER COMPANY" very openly on all listings, so it's just easier to tell them apart that way. It also works to use "1997" version and "2011" version. The 1997 is the one at risk, with the 2011 version replacing it effectively.
I don't have the means to afford one of these remaining copies myself though, unfortunately. I'm hoping someone else would be able to help with archiving it
I'm not sure what more of an explanation I can give besides this screenshot of it using "shiki version" on Apple Music. (Although the year on Apple Music says 1999, it's still not the original cast recording)
Unfortunately back to square 1, as the soundtrack can't be listened to in the US through apple music and changing the country doesn't seem to fix this.
Amazon was a *bit* close by being easier to change countries, but from there it doesn't even play, so still a no-go.
